Gyration has announced the launch of their Vista Media Center and PC Universal Remote Control in the UK.

The Media Center Remote offers "intuitive" motion-sensing gyro technology. The user simply waves the remote in the air and the on-screen cursor will track the hand motion.

The Media Center Remote - apparently the only Microsoft-approved Media Center remote with mouse control - allows consumers to navigate the Internet with a PC cursor as part of their HDTV home entertainment.

With a range of up to 100 feet, the remote works on RF for PCs and IR for home cinema kit, and works with Microsoft's Media Center Edition for both Windows Vista and Windows XP.

It will cost around £75 when it's in shops in December, and will be offered bundled with a wireless compact keyboard, for £109.99.
