Nokia Windows Phone 7 devices landing 26 October?
Nokia has revealed the date of Nokia World 2011, a date that falls nicely in line with the estimated arrival time for the ailing giant's Windows Phone 7 assault.
The conference will take place in London on 26 and 27 October, with an opening keynote scheduled for 9am on the opening day in which it's expected to launch its debut Windows Phone 7 line-up.
Traditionally at the Nokia World events, the Finnish company makes its big phone announcements (last year's was the official launch platform for the N8, E7, C7 and C6) and, with CEO Stephen Elop stating this week over in Singapore that the company's "primary smartphone strategy is to focus on the Windows phone" and that he had "increased confidence that we will launch our first device based on the Windows platform later this year and we will ship our product in volume in 2012", we're confident this year's event will continue with the practice.
With Mango (Windows Phone 7.5) all set to land around the same time - it's certainly exciting times in the battle for smartphone supremacy.
