Scosche gets freeKEY and flexes its keys

Have you jumped ship yet from being a notebook to an iPad (other tablets are available) business traveller? If so, you probably sit in one of two camps.

The first is the group of people that go sans-accessories to save space and pretty quickly notice that it's not much fun typing on the iPad's touchscreen for a long period of time. The other is the group that have realised this and, as such, carry the designated Apple keyboard dock around with them and waste valuable bag space.

But Scosche has come up with an alternative for both camps - a keyboard that doesn't require too much room in your bag, but is still large enough for comfortable typing; the Scosche freeKEY.

Bad grammar aside, the freeKEY is a flexible, rollable Bluetooth keyboard that will sync up with your iPad, iPhone or any other Bluetooth enabled device (it's compatible with Windows, Android and Mac OS X as well) and has a range of around 10m. It's also water resistant too.

“With tablets becoming more and more common in the workplace we wanted to create a mobile typing solution for the tablet power user,” said Kas Alves, executive vice president of Scosche Industries.

“The freeKEY gives our customers the ability to comfortably respond to lengthier, more formal work emails and draft documents that would be otherwise difficult to create.”

Priced at £44.99, the Scosche freeKEY is available now from Micro Anvika. It comes packed with a retractable USB to micro-USB charge cable.
