Acer had refreshed its TimelineX range - adding Intel Sandy Bridge processors and bringing promises of a big battery boost.
The boost isn't just in terms of battery life either (which is up to 10 hours by the way) it's to do with the actual life cycle of the battery too. Acer is stating that the new TimelineX models will benefit from 80 per cent capacity for over 1,000 charge cycles - so up to 4 years of use.
In the new range we've got three models; the 13.-3-inch 3830T, the 14-inch 4830T and the 15.6-inch 5830T - all with a 1366x768 resolution.
All models have a choice of the new Intel i Core processors, pack Nvidia GeForce GPUs and up to 750GB HDD space, and also have Bluetooth 3 and USB 3 connectivity as well.
There's also Dolby Theatre v4 on board, a multi-gesture touchpad, a 1.3-megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p video and HDMI connectivity for 1080p playback on your big screen TV. You can even charge your gadgets using the notebooks without even switching them on.
Out on 1 August, prices for the Acer TimelineX range; the Acer 830T, the Acer 4830T and the Acer 5830T, are still to be confirmed.
