E3 2011: Show coverage starts here

We've touched down in LA, have got our press pass, and are ready to cover the biggest gaming show on the planet.

Over the next 5 days, Pocket-lint will be reporting live from Los Angeles at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (or E3 to you and me), bringing you the low down on the big announcements from, not only Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, but everyone else as well.

Microsoft is playing its cards very close to its chest at the moment, but it’s fair to say there is going to be plenty of Kinect action to get excited about, more details on games like Gears of War 3, and info from a little birdie has given word of some exciting new games that haven’t even been detailed yet.

There’s also Forza Motorsport 4 and Star Wars Kinect, and rumours that the company is about to launch a TV subscription service to take on cable television; Xbox LIVE Diamond.

Meanwhile, Sony will be hoping to steal the spotlight itself with more details on the company’s handheld - the Sony NGP - now expected to be called the Sony PS Vita, and that’s before you start talking about all the games it’s going to be showing like Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, God of War 4 and Resistance 3.

If that wasn’t enough we should also have the official unveiling of the Wii 2 - Project Cafe - from Nintendo and details on big games like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D for the 3DS
