Nokia: New Windows Phone 7 devices every two months
Nokia is well aboard the good ship Windows Phone 7 now, and with the new Mango features officially confirmed for all to hear is keen to stress its dedication to the platform.
And what dedication it is, Roy Castle would have been proud.
For you see Nokia is planning on bringing a new Windows Phone 7 device to the table every "couple of months".
The quote comes from Nokia's executive vice president of smart devices, Jo Harlow, who told PC Mag: "We should be launching new devices in a rhythm that might be every couple of months, every three months, something like that.
"We're going to keep coming with new devices in order to have something to talk about."
Harlow described WP7 currently as a "secondary platform" for the existing manufacturers and said that Nokia is exploring many different avenues in order to make the platform more dominant. That includes exploring CDMA possibilities and looking at different processor manufacturers.
Interesting stuff indeed, although whether the world needs five to six new Nokia devices a year running Windows Phone 7.5 remains to be seen.
