Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: An Android 3.1 device?

The super skinny Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 could be arriving in a "few days" according to the Samsung US Twitter account, and what's more it could be the first device to be shipped packing the latest version of Honeycomb - Android 3.1.

The 3.1 claim is made via the official Samsung product info page, which states:

"The 10.1″ Samsung Galaxy Tab is the perfect ally in your quest to do everything faster, easier and better. Surf the web at blistering speeds, multitask like a ninja or watch movies in superior HD resolution (1280×800). This lightweight, premium tablet comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and great Google services. It can even access Adobe Flash Player compatible content and shoot 720p HD video, making you wonder how you ever lived without it. It’s Time to Tab"

Could it be a misprint? After all, the Samsung US tweet also states "10.1 inches of Android 3.0 Honeycomb delight".

Reports suggest no, with the upgrade to Android 3.1 being touted as the reason for its slight delay in landing.

We'll watch this one with a keen eye, so be sure to check back for updates.
