So there we were, the whole Pocket-Lint team sat round a conference table (OK, so it was a pub table, and we'd been there a while by this stage) and the conversation turned to the old staple of any, ahem, conference: the "wouldn't it be great if they made a [insert improbable but somehow strangely appealing madcap idea]" conversation.
And funnily enough, somebody mentioned this site they'd come across. It seems that no how mad the idea, or how many lubricating "energy drinks" you've enjoyed in the formation of your brainchild, somebody has been there and done it. Often, they've even gone as far as making the damned thing and brought it to market.
At http://www.electronicsweekly.com/blogs/engineering-design-problems/i-cant-believe-someone-makes (catchy URL, I know...) you get to see the fruits of their labours. From the bizarre to the beautiful, all this stuff was surely born out of similar circumstances to some of our more intelligent ideas (all of which will remain closely guarded secrets, just in case we ever get our acts together and start making some of them...).
