FA Cup Final to be immortalised in world's largest 360-degree photo
Fans heading to Wembley Stadium for this weekend's FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Stoke will be part of the world's largest ever 360-degree photograph.
Commissioned by Wembley Stadium and taken by renowned expert photographer Jeffrey Martin from 360Cities.net, the photograph will be comprised of over 1,000 individual shots taken simultaneously and include the entire crowd at the event this weekend (Saturday 14 May) - so if you're going it'd probably be best if you don't pick your nose for the duration of the match.
A mere 24 hours after the game has finished, the end result will be hosted at wembleystadium/wembley360, so you'll be able to see yourself from Sunday and beyond. Not only will this be one of the fastest turn-arounds undertaken, but it will be the largest image of a major sporting event ever.
In addition to viewing the photo, fans will also be able to Facebook tag themselves in the shot.
“We are delighted to be able to offer fans a special memento of their day at this year’s FA Cup Final and hope the photo will be the first of many to capture the fantastic atmosphere fans bring to Wembley Stadium," said Roger Maslin, Wembley’s managing director. "We have some very special events at Wembley this summer with the Champions League Final and eight nights of Take That’s sell out Progress Live tour."
