Toshiba Regza Tablet AT300: Delayed until "very end of summer"
Toshiba has announced that its second attempt in the Android tablet market, the Honeycomb-boasting Regza Tablet AT300, has been delayed until the "very end of summer".
The admission came from Ken Chan, Toshiba UK's business laptops boss, who was speaking with Reg Hardware.
We don't like the sound of this at all. After the fiasco of the Toshiba Folio tablet we we're kind of hoping that Toshiba would be back on the horse without a hiccup this time around.
After all, it's a meaty sounding tablet that it has on its hands; a 10.1-inch screen sporting Resolution+ and a 1280x800 resolution, 1GB of RAM with 16GB of internal memory, a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and a 5-megapixel camera at the rear and 2-megapixel one up front - and we've liked the feel of it on the few occasions with had it in our hands.
Hopefully it's just a minor setback for Toshiba then - it would be catastrophic to have another failed Android attempt on its hands.
