A world of searching presented by Google
We at Pocket-lint love a good infographic. And Google has produced just that for its new Search Globe tool.
Search Globe is a visual representation of how people around the world are searching online in terms of the languages of their queries.
It shows searches from the current day, with the brighter areas being those places where most searches are occurring and the colour representing the language.
Valdean Klump of the Google Data Arts team explains:
"The Search Globe visualizes searches from one day, and shows the language of the majority of queries in an area in different colours. You’ll see a bright landscape of queries across Europe, and parts of Asia for instance, but unfortunately we see many fewer searches from parts of the world lacking Internet access - and often electricity as well - like Africa. We hope that as the Internet continues to become more accessible over time and people continue to ask questions, we’ll see this globe shine brightly everywhere."
If you can't see the embedded Search Globe, try using Chrome.
It's awful pretty ma.
