Star Wars: May the 4th Be With You - secret revealed
Lucasfilm has used Star Wars Day (May the 4th, of course) to announce the Blu-ray bonus details for the 9-disc Star Wars: The Complete Saga boxset that was announced back in January at CES.
The set will hit the UK on 12 September (and the States 4 days later) and, along with all six movies, Star Wars fans will also be treated to audio commentaries from the likes of George Lucas, Carrie Fisher, Ben Burtt, Rick McCallum, Rob Coleman, John Knoll, Roger Guyett, Pablo Helman Dennis Muren.
There will also be two discs of archived footage that includes "deleted, extended and alternate scenes; prop, maquette and costume turnarounds; matte paintings and concept art; supplementary interviews with cast and crew; a flythrough of the Lucasfilm Archives and more".
The final disc contains eight different documentaries including 1997's Anatomy of a Dewback and 2007's Star Warriors. There's also a new doc called Star Wars Spoofs where "the farce is strong with this one!" Sigh....
Sure, it's a bumper load - but was it really worth the whole countdown website and all the fuss?
Did someone say biggest let-down since the iTunes / Beatles announcement?
