Apple senior VP, Phil Schiller has confirmed, via Twitter, that the white Apple iPhone 4 is still on course for a spring release, and has also stated that the now almost mythical device is, "a beauty".
Answering a fanboys query as to when the white handset would land the Apple SVP said: "The white iPhone will be available this spring", which backs up previous reports of the rescheduled release date.
Back in February, a Pocket-lint source stated that the white iPhone 4 would be hitting UK shops at the end of March.
This was after a photo had hit the web of some new Apple Store signs that clearly read: "The white iPhone 4 will be available in spring 2011".
The spring time-frame was also mentioned during an Apple statement that was released back in October.
The Cupertino tech giant originally stated that the white handset would be hitting the shops by the end of July 2010. It was, however, delayed for a few weeks, before an announcement was made stating that: "white models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year".
With the iPad 2 now appearing in white, and the iPhone 5 rumour mill now in full swing, chances are that Apple has already missed the boat with this particular blanc offering though.
