ITN is making its bespoke mobile news and entertainment content available for free via iTunes.

The deal will allow customers to download ITN’s latest news and entertainment programming from iTunes store when on the move.

The service will be funded by a short Ad Infuse supplied pre-roll advertisement on each download.

ITN claims it will keep viewers up to date with all the latest UK, world, sports, showbiz and business news throughout the day.

The iTunes store will also feature Movie Buff, a guide for cinema goers featuring everything from film reviews to cinema etiquette as well all the latest movie news, red carpet premieres and interviews with Hollywood’s A-List.

ITN is also supplying iTunes with its weekly sports news bulletin Sports Fix and daily football show EPL, a rundown of the day’s football stories.

Nicholas Wheeler, MD of ITN’s multimedia division, ITN On, said: "This is a society where people are always on the move and want everything on demand".

"Customers can now download the very latest news to their iPod before they leave home or the office and watch it on their commute or when waiting to meet a friend at the bar."
