Sony launches colourful Cyber-shot T2 digi-cams

4GB memory and "Scrapbook" and "Album" functions for showing on the go

Sony has announced the Cyber-shot T2 designed to keep "memories handy in a pocket or handbag for sharing and reviewing on the go".

The newest compact to join the Cyber-shot series will be an 8.1-megapixel model, have a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessor 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD display.

Auto-sort album functionality and image tagging claims to organise your pics for you in a clear and clever way, while there's blog-friendly features for online ease of use.

Smile shutter, face detection and anti-blur all claim to help you take better shots, while you can connect the camera easily to an HD Bravia TV to best show off your handiwork.

New with this model, Sony's "Scrapbook" feature creates an "attractive montage" of pictures on the touchscreen LCD, accompanied by a choice of themed backgrounds.

The T2 will be available in five colour options; black, blue, green, pink, white and will boast a handy 4GB of on-board memory.

The Cyber-shot T2 will be launched in late November 2007, no pricing revealed, Sony-worded summary below:
