New tariffs coming by end of year

Orange has told Pocket-lint that it will be moving to a greater transparency in its data charging by the end of the year by announcing new data pricing plans.

"We will be announcing a more unlimited style", Jenny Thorpe, a spokesperson for Orange told Pocket-lint.

The move follows O2's plan to offer an unlimited data package for its iPhone customers.

"We will be moving in that direction", Thorpe confirmed.

We've been told to expect an announcement by the end of the year for both UK and global data charging.

The mobile operator also confirmed that it would be launching the newly announced HTC Shift in December and will have the exclusive for the first 4 weeks.

We will keep you posted.
