There is a trend. It is spoken of in just the slightest of whispers, in the darkest of corners. It is almost the unthinkable, the unspeakable; it’s something that some people cannot get their heads around for even a moment, but it’s still happening. People are turning away from the household names in social networking and are looking for something different. It might be just that people want a change. Or, it might be that the very nature of a social network originally was niche. Not for the masses. Different.
When every other story on the News at Ten and in The Daily Mail references Facebook or Twitter, maybe there’s something to it.
And so we come to hi5.com, what was once seen as an also-ran is now resurgent.
There’s nothing really that remarkably different about it, apart from the fact that it’s just a bit, well, different.
