HTC Pyramid: Dual-core action landing in May?
How do you like the sound of a dual-core boasting, 4.3-inch display bashing, HTC flagship phone? Yep, we thought that'd grab your attention - and it's exactly what's on the cards (if a report on Android and Me proves accurate) with the codenamed HTC Pyramid.
The Pyramid is said to be to T-Mobile (in the US) what the Evo 4G is to Sprint, the Thunderbolt is to Verizon and the Inspire 4G is to AT&T. That's right we're talking about a 4G HSPA+ connected handset.
Only this time it'll be a device packing a dual-core CPU - the Qualcomm MSM8260 1.2 GHz Snapdragon. "Ooohs" and "aaahs" are more than acceptable at this point.
The Pyramid's display will be qHD (960x540) and the phone could be landing in stores as early as May 2011 - so it could even be demoed (or teased, at least) at Mobile World Congress in a couple of weeks time.
There's no other details (or specs) unfortunately at the moment, but with Qualcomm showing off its newest dual-core chips over in Vegas at CES, and hinting at Q2 release - it's a rumour with a lot of legs to run on.
Roll on 13 February and MWC in Barcelona. We've got our pesetas ready - we've been saving them for years.
