Hug Shirt replicates a cuddle

Do you need a hug?

No-one at hand for a hug? Get a Hug Shirt, which is able to reproduce hugs electronically through a mobile phone.

The designers behind the product, CuteCircuit had lots of hug-ins in order to "map" the most hug intensity points across the upper arms, upper back, waistline, neck, shoulders, and hips.

At these points on the shirt there are "hugging output actuators" which claim to replicate the warmth, pressure and even heartbeat of being hugged by another person.

So, with two Hug Shirts and Java and Bluetooth enabled mobiles, whenever you hug yourself, the exact characteristics of your hug will be measured by your Hug Shirt and sent via SMS to the second Hug Shirt.

Due to be available in time for Christmas for $300.
