Orange is offering the HTC Desire HD exclusively in black, for those looking for a phone that will go deliciously with their black tie, the operator has confirmed
The phone, which is expected to be available "soon", is currently available for pre-order on the carrier's site in the UK.
“Class and clarity - just two of the many attributes used to describe the HTC Desire HD Black,” says Orange, hoping fans of the phone that have yet to snap it up will be swayed by the new black colour.
Aside from the colour, the rest of the phone is unchanged.
That means you’ll get a 4.3-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, a 1Ghz processor, an 8-megapixel camera, and 720p HD video recording functionality.
The OS, for those that care, is Android 2.2 rather than the latest version Android 2.3, however without detailing the Desire HD as one of the phones, HTC has hinted that some of its latest models will be getting the upgrade - here’s hoping.
It's not the first time HTC has launched a black version of one of its metal smartphones. In October HTC announced a black version of the HTC Legend.
