SanDIsk's 64GB drive that's the size of your fingertip

SanDisk has shown off its news Solid State Drive at this year’s CES and while that might sound like one of the dullest sentences you’re read this week, it's the sheer size of it that’s impressive.

The miniature drive, currently going under the moniker of the iSSD, can store up to 64GB on a drive that is small enough to sit on your finger tip.

Drives that small means makes it possible for your phone, camera or other devices to have a massive amount of memory inside without making the device any bigger than it already is.

SanDisk tell Pocket-lint that we should start to see devices with this drive in it within the next couple of months. Unfortunately due to agreements with manufacturers they weren’t able to tell us which devices they will be.

What would you store on a drive that small? Let us know in the comments below.
