Dell Venue ditches keyboard, embraces Android

Dell has confirmed at its press conference at CES in Las Vegas that it will be launching an Android version of its Windows Phone 7 handset - the Dell Venue Pro - but without the slide out keyboard.

Called the Dell Venue, the Android 2.2 powered device will have a 4.1-inch AM-OLED display with curved Corning Gorilla Glass running Dell’s Stage Android skin and have a 1 GHz processor.

It will run the Dell Stage software, similar to the Dell Streak range of tablets from the company.
