Over in Las Vegas, Logitech has announced a couple of wireless solutions that let you use your existing favourite speakers, without the need for wires.
First up is the Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter for Intel Wi-Di devices, which plugs into the standard analogue RCA or 3.5 mm jack of your speakers, and receives music beamed from your Intel-based Wi-Di enabled laptop.
“Intel’s Wi-Di technology is quickly becoming the standard for wireless audio for laptops”, said Mark Schneider, vice president and general manager Logitech’s audio business unit.
“Now thanks to Wi-Di technology and the Logitech Wireless Adapter for Intel Wi-Di devices, it’s easy to turn up the volume while you’re listening to Pandora or watching a YouTube video. And you can do it with the speaker system you already own”.
The next option is more applicable if your machine isn't packing Intel Wi-Di, as it works via Bluetooth - so would be perfect for playing tunes from your smartphone or tablet as well - the Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter for Bluetooth.
Again, it's easy to set up and use, with the included standard analogue RCA or 3.5 mm jacks.
There are no price details as of yet, but we're told that both adaptors will hit the shops in May.
Logitech has also used CES to announce that the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 is now Mac-Compatible.
