IXOS goes small'n'cute with cube speaker

Sweet sound squared

IXOS has introduced the "First" range of affordable accessories, with the launch of the XMM238 cube travel speaker.

Described as tiny and cute, this measures just 70 x 70 x 70mm and upping the cute factor is a pink version, although it also available in black or white.

It offers a 2 watt output and is aimed for use with iPods, other MP3 players and laptops although it will work with any audio source via its 3.5mm jack.

The XMM238 can be powered via USB, or will run on AA batteries and we're promised the sideways firing drivers deliver a surprisingly spacious sound, from such a tiny package.

Including cables, the speaker is on sale now for £14.99 at HMV and Halfords, among others.
