AC/DC's Rock N Roll Train is world's first Excel music video
Rock band AC/DC may be adverse to digital downloads, snubbing iTunes and the subject of running battles with Napster, but that's not to say that they shun technology altogether. Indeed, with an Ascii version of their Rock N Roll Train video they can lay claim to a world's first.
It's the first music video to run in a spreadsheet. Weird, but true.
The video runs entirely in Microsoft Excel, with a completely free dowloadable .xls file available from excel.acdc.com. It does require you to switch off several safeguards (especially if you're running a more recent version of Excel), but it's well worth it, even if you're not too bothered about the band.
And there's no need to miss out, even if you don't have Excel, as the video is also on YouTube.
Now all you need is a flat cap or schoolboy outfit and you're sorted. Rock on!
