It's been seven months since Pocket-lint brought you the last sneak peak photos of the forthcoming Asus Eee Pad EP121, but prior to January's consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Asus has released some official teaser snaps of the device. Well, of its 10-inch sibling the EP101TC, anyway.
Like with our photos back in May, though, these clearly show that the tablet will come with a slide out keyboard, although it is now believed that the Windows Phone 7 Home Premium operating system that we originally saw running has been replaced with an Android OS.
We're also not so sure now that Asus will unveil a 12-inch version of the slate at CES, or, indeed, at all. Rumours state that there may be a range of differently specified 10-inch devices only.
Either way, the Eee Pad pictured is looking solidly built and a valid rival to the iPad in the design stakes. We'll have to wait for the Vegas show to see if its operability holds up to our lofty standards.
