When we first reported on Theo Watson's hacked Kinect/Mac OS X set up, we promised to keep a keen eye on his progress and update you on any exciting developments.

And, call us crazy, but we consider a virtual puppet show an exciting development.

Watson came up with the development in just a day, using openFrameworks and libfreenect.

"A quick installation prototype Emily and I hooked up with the libfreenect Kinect drivers and ofxKinect", was how Watson described it.

"The system is doing skeleton tracking on the arm and determining where the shoulder, elbow, and wrist is, using it to control the movement and posture of the giant funky bird!"

There's a bit of lag, but the virtual puppet is so cool that we'll forgive Watson that minor flaw.
