Sony has announced a wealth of improvements to its Play TV app, the most notable of which being live chat when you're watching TV on your PlayStation.
But, in order to get this feature, you're gonna have to fork out £6.29 for the software upgrade. Boo.
If you do cough-up then you'll be able to create or join chat rooms for up to 65 fellow PlayStation networkers that overlap the live TV that you're watching.
As well as the new chat option, the upgraded Play TV adds Facebook and PSN recommendations, series link functionality, a new premium programme guide from tvtv, and community favourites.
To get the new features, simply patch your software with the update via the Play TV menu.
£6.29 for chat seems a bit steep though. There are plenty of free text chat services out there already. It's a shame because it looks like quite a neat feature.
