Angry Birds on Android: Big update comes crashing in

Angry Birds fans rejoice - a major new update has hit the Android Market (and GetJar too).

The update brings with it QVGA graphics support so Android users with smaller screens can now become horribly addicted like the rest of us, as well as a number of bug fixes (including the BSOD on Android 1.6 devices) and the white texturing effect.

But all of that pales into insignificance compared to the big news - 45 brand spanking new levels, including The Big Setup episode, "which pits the birds against the fiendish construction yard operated by the pigs". Say goodbye to your evening then.

Angry Birds has been nominated for Best Game at the 7th annual Pocket-lint awards. Do you think it deserves to take home the prize?
