With launch day within touching distance there's been an interesting, if somewhat expected, twist in the Samsung Galaxy Tab saga.
A Wi-Fi only model, GT-P1010, has shown up at the FCC and, with many people bemoaning the rather expensive price-tag of the 7-incher, it might throw a bit of a spanner in the works of the big launch as wannabe SamTab owners hold off for a cheaper option.
The iPad is £100 cheaper for the Wi-Fi only versions, and if the Galaxy Tab goes down the same road, it is a much more attractive prospect for people that had no plans to take the tablet out and about, or indeed use it as a massive phone.
Rumours of a $499 price tag Stateside are doing the rounds, but as yet there's no whispers regarding a UK price.
As ever, we'll keep our ears firmly to the ground to see what we can pick up, so be sure to check back on Pocket-lint for regular updates.
