Skype for iPhone goes "Offline"

Skype has updated its iPhone app on Tuesday, bringing with it the ability to go into "Offline" mode so people can't see you are running your phone's battery down faster than needed, just because you can.

The new feature is one of many listed along with a series of bug fixes that aim to improve the experience of the app on your phone.

Other new features include the promise of "friendlier" event messages and the promise that the app won't crash your phone as often.

The new update, version 2.1.2 if anyone is actually keeping track, should be ready and waiting for you when you next tap into the App Store.

Let us know how you get on.
