You could laugh this 1GB USB drive off as another novelty offering, but it actually goes beyond fun status with some interesting content that would make a great gift for a wine lover.

Described as "your key to open the gates to a great wine", the drive contains the wine cellar management software "Open Cellar", a guide to the Grand Cru from the Bordeaux area and their classification, a screensaver and wallpaper dedicated to wine, exclusive ringtones on wine for your mobile phone, and "privileged access" to the BeWineConnected club.

It will let you discover the secrets of a Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé from the heart of the Medoc and the registered designation Pauillac, and contains video of Michel Rolland (apparently a renowed taster) try some of the most recent vintages of Pontet-Canet.

With the claim that it contains everything you have always wanted to know about a great wine, that you've never dared ask, the films, advice and info could also be a short-cut to brushing up on your own wine knowledge.

For 35 euros, we've got one on order, if only to find out what on earth wine-themed mobile phone ring tones could sound like...
