Just £85 for the cheapest Android tablet yet

If you looked at the £180 Android tablet offerings from Disgo and Next (yes, Next) and thought that they were just a bit too expensive to be considered as a Christmas present for your little nieces or nephews, but still fancy getting them in on the Android tab action, then you might be interested in the 7-incher being sold by Morgan Computers.

Sure, it's only got Android version 1.7.4, and sure, there's only 128MB of RAM to go with the ARM9 VIA8505+ 400MHz processor - but for just £85 you can't really quibble.

For your money, you're getting a 7-inch tablet, with 2GB of on board storage that is expandable via SD or USB.

It has a 800 x 480, QVGA display, and you're also getting Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a 0.3-megapixel webcam, and support for H.263 AVI files.

Battery life is very mediocre at just 3 hours, but hey, that's the same as the £180 Next tablet.

If you fancy bagging one of these tabs, then get yourself over to Morgan Computers, where you can pre-order one ahead of shipping that should begin on 18 October.
