Like sauerkraut, we take stories published in German newspaper Bild with a pinch of salt. However, the tabloid is certain that Nintendo is about to announce the Japanese release date for its 3DS handheld as 11 November 2010.
The new 3D handheld console isn't expected to reach the UK, or the rest of Europe for that matter, until spring 2011, but we'll know for sure the exact details on 29 September when Nintendo is to reveal its plans in Tokyo.
Bild also claims that the device will cost 200 euros (£170.21) when it is available over here, and that launch titles include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 3DS and a, presumably, a 3D version of Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle.
No sources have been named, or even hinted at, so Pocket-lint wonders where the paper may have got its information from. However, November is a popular month for Nintendo launches, with the Japanese versions of the DS Phat, DSi and DSi XL all going on sale in the month in previous years.
