HP Slate turns up for 4 minutes of unofficial fame
It was teased, then it was canned, then it was back on again, and now it's leaked.
That's a quick potted history of the HP Slate, a web tablet from Hewlett Packard which is yet to get an official release.
In the video you'll see a rubberised back in the style of Escher along with a rear facing 3-megapixel camera and a front-facing effort too.
On the sides is an SD card slot, a shortcut keyboard button and mic, along with on/off/lock and 3.5mm jack. The top sports volume, home and Ctrl/Alt/Delete buttons as well as USB port. The whole thing running Windows 7.
From the video the device looks to take around 40 seconds to boot up, and it looks to be pretty quick at browsing the Internet, with everything looking smooth.
UPDATE: A second separate video has shown up of the HP Slate and been posted to YouTube.
