The new range of affordable shoot and share video cameras from Flip have been updated to shoot image-stabilised video at 60 frames per second (fps), which is good news for those who always end up with shaky video footage.
Just like previous models, the Flip UltraHD and MinoHD can both capture 720p high-def footage and now have the added bonus of the FlipPort which can be used to attach a selection of 'Designed for Flip' accessories including external microphones, battery chargers and a portable projector.
Both the UltraHD and the MinoHD come in 4 and 8GB versions, although the 4GB version of the UltraHD will only offer 30fps footage and no image stabilisation.
All products in the Flip Video family can be personalised through TheFlip.com where you can choose from thousands of designs or upload your own image. The new cameras also come pre-loaded with the latest version of FlipShare which lets you organise, edit and share your video or post them directly to Twitter and Facebook.
The new models are available from today in the US ranging in price from $149.99 to $229.99, although there's no word on UK availability and pricing just yet.
UPDATE: The Flip MinoHD one hour comes in silver and will cost around £149.99,while the Flip MinoHD two hour comes in black with a price tag of £179.99, and the Flip UltraHD two hour also comes in black with a suggested price of £179.99. The products are available to pre-order from Amazon, Firebox and Play.com from 21 September and to buy online and in-store in these and Currys Digital, John Lewis, Argos, Micro Anvika and other leading stores starting from November.
