Apple could be ready to launch its 2nd generation iPad in early 2011 following news that several touchscreen part suppliers have reportedly been readying their processes for the production of the new device's 9.7-inch panel.

Several component suppliers are expected to begin shipments at the beginning of 2011, pointing to a launch at some point early on in the year.

Although nothing has been confirmed, we expect the new iPad to include a front-facing camera for FaceTime calling. The 2nd gen device may well also feature a more powerful processor and more memory.
