Amazon's new US Kindle ad highlights the major flaw behind the iPad being a book reading device; sunlight. Or, at least, its effect on the mirror-like glass screen of Apple's device.

However, what actually ends up coming across is that Kindle readers are horribly arrogant and smug, but can throw their voice. Just watch the way the bikinied babe manages to say "I actually paid more for the sunglasses" without moving her lips or teeth.

We also think they may have cut the ad a bit short, specifically missing out the bit where he plays Angry Birds HD, watches the latest episode of Curb your Enthusiasm, and then beats her to death with the brushed metal back and heavy glass panel.

He ends up in jail, of course. But at least there's little sunlight to stop him reading.
