iLuv have launched the i1155, a portable DVD player with iPod dock in the US that allows users to watch content on its large 8.4-inch screen.The dock come player, will be available in black, come with "Light-emitting, touch-sensitive function keypad controls", and include a carrying pouch, car adapter, AC adapter, AV cable, and remote control in the box.
On the iPod dock size the unit is capable of outputting videos from MP3 player to television, as well as being able to take the 30GB, 60GB, or 80GB iPod however only the 5th generation models.
It does not work with iPod touch, iPod classic 80GB, iPod classic 160GB, or new iPod video nano.
On the DVD side, users will be able to play DVDs, VCDs, Audio CDs, MPC CDs, and JPEG CDs, connect to television through S-Video or AV output and opt for slow and fast motion playback and zoom operation.
Battery powered, there is no word however on performance, although the iPod can be charged at the same time.
Out in the US for $275, we are awaiting word as to whether it will be available in the UK anytime soon.
STORY UPDATE: The iLuv 8.4-inch Portable Multimedia Player for iPod and DVDs will be on sale from Dabs.com in the UK for £175.
