The camera launch season is starting to heat up with Canon now sending out invites to journalists in Belgium for an event later this month.
The invite, which features three baby penguins, details a "Take Stories Press Event" that will happen on the 26 August 2010.
Although no clues are given in the invite, unless those penguins are actually sitting on the new range of models, most camera journalists expect it to be the announcement of the Canon EOS 60D, a replacement for the new almost 2-years-old 50D.
That means an expected bevy of specs to read along the lines of an 18 megapixel sensor, 1080p video and possibly a variangle screen on the back.
The event which is happening just 2 days after the Sony Alpha DSLR briefing is yet another camera launch ahead of this year's Photokina.
Photokina is a once every 2 years event held in Cologne and is expected to see launches from Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon, Olympus and others.
