Casio has launched the nattily titled WVQ-570DBE-1AVER watch. Claiming to take complex calculations out of measuring speed, it joins Casio's high performance collection.

The WVQ-570DBE-1AVER comes complete with a 1/100-second stopwatch and built-in velocity meter, which means it can measure average speed in km/h and time including; split time, lap time, fastest time and first-second place times.

Casio say the WVQ-570DBE-1AVER is perfect for those who want the high performance functionality of a sports watch but high fashion styling.

The WVQ-570DBE-1AVER uses dual-region Wave Ceptor technology to pick up the time calibration signals from radio transmitters in the UK and mainland Europe.

So when travelling, the watch can be changed to the local European time at the touch of a button and automatically adjust itself each day to ensure perfect to-the-second timing.

The WVQ-570DBE-1AVER is available online and from jewellers for £149.99.
