The Will It Blend? videos have been such a hit on YouTube that the inquisitive title has moved over into popular speech. As most Pocket-lint readers will know, presented by Blendtec CEO Tom Dickson, the videos are quick infomercials for the company's blenders.
The video showing Dickson blending a brand new iPhone, shortly after the device's much hyped releases in the States has had over 2 million views on YouTube alone.
What's interesting is that this clever campaign seems to have really worked in terms of bottom line, as well as in popular culture.
New facts shows traffic to the company's website has increased by 650% since the introduction of the videos, while Blendtec's online sales have increased five-fold.
This is being cited as an interesting example of when viral marketing really works. And remember, everything blends - except Chuck Norris.
