Back in February we talked to Jon Reynolds, CEO of UK based company TouchType, who told us about SwiftKey - the Android app that will speed up your text message writing.
And now SwiftKey's beta release is available so you can give it a go for yourself on your Android handset.
SwiftKey uses a complex language model prediction technology that will, TouchType claims, allow you to text up to 50 per cent faster than at present.
Reynolds said: "We are really pleased to be able to launch SwiftKey beta after two years of hard work. The incredible technology underpinning our application completely changes the way mobile users interact with their smartphones".
Check out this video of SwiftKey in use on a Nexus One to get an idea of how it works:
SwifKey is available to download in its beta form now. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.
