Nokia has put a date on the UK availability of the Nokia C3 on Monday stating that the new phone will be available SIM free for £109 from 18 June 2010.
Those keen to get it on contract will have to wait until the 22 June 2010 at which point Vodafone will be offering it, or August before being able to order on O2, or get it at the Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U.
The new QWERTY keyboard featuring Nokia C3 is built with social networking in mind according to Nokia and offers instant access to all your favourite sites such as Facebook and Twitter straight from the home screen, pretty much like every other phone on the market.
“The Nokia C3 brings style and connectivity at an affordable price. Whether it’s via email, the web, social networks or IM, you are always connected, in a way that suits you.” said Mark Loughran, Managing Director, Nokia UK.
The Nokia C3 sports a two-megapixel camera, GPRS and Wi-Fi and is available in hot pink, slate grey and golden white.
The news comes on the back of Nokia's announcement last week that it was launching four new entry-level phones for those that want to just make calls and no much else.
Nokia unveiled its latest Cseries mobile phones with three new products under the Nokia C1 name, as well as the new dual-SIM Nokia C2 which will follow at the end of the fourth quarter of 2010.
The most affordable of the Nokia C1 trio (C1-00) is priced at EUR 30 before taxes and subsidies and is the first Nokia mobile phone to feature a 2-in-1 double SIM solution. "By simply holding down a key, people are able to switch between SIM cards. This enables them to take advantage of reduced call rates, flexibility when traveling from one country to another, or helps with sharing a phone within a family and still use their own SIM," said Alex Lambeek, Vice President at Nokia.
