Today we look at two telcos who are giving volunteering and charity work a big push.
Vodafone’s World of Difference is the chance for you to work for your dream charity, anywhere in the world, for a year. And get paid too. That might not sound like proper volunteering, but, let’s face it, most of us have bills to pay, so this scheme gives you the chance to really make a difference without putting the rest of your life on hold while you do it. You’ve got ‘til 17 June to apply.
If that’s a bit much, Orange RockCorps is back for the summer, giving you the opportunity to do 4 hours volunteering for a local good cause and in return you’ll get tickets to one of two unmissable gigs in Manchester or London. The line-up for Manchester includes Snoop Dogg, Vampire Weekend and Tinie Tempah.
So whether it’s a year, or 4 hours, make a difference this summer.
