MSI Wind U160 netbook to last 15 hours on single charge
MSI has also just detailed a new netbook, the Wind U160, in Taiwan, that promises to last over 15 hours on a single charge. Yes 15 hours.
The feat, which is enough to get you from the London to LA and still have time to watch a movie afterwards isn't down to power optimisation courtesy of an Atom N450 processor with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, but a rather large battery pack that sticks out and down behind the screen that also means that the U160 will always be at a slight angle.
When you aren't talking about the battery, you'll be talking about the rather standard 10-inch display with the standard netbook resolution of 1024x600 and the rather good chiclet type keyboard that fits edge to edge.
The touch pad is also quite large and has a knobbly surface that might not be quite clear from the pictures.
We'll bring you more when we've got it.
