Rumours flying out from the AMD conference in Cannes have now been confirmed: Microsoft Office 2010 for consumers will hit UK stores on 15 June.
The new suite will feature a raft of new features, right across the portfolio, with Web Apps being one of the most eagerly anticipated. It will allow programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to be accessed using a web browser, via Windows Live, anywhere in the world, whether on a PC, laptop or mobile phone.
Prices have been known for quite a while now, starting at £110 for the Home and Student edition (without Outlook), up to £400 for Office 2010 Professional. However, you can cut costs at the moment by buying the equivalent versions of Office 2007 from Amazon.co.uk. They're cheaper and, at present, you get a completely free upgrade when the new one hits.
