Acer has unveiled a couple of mighty midgets packing a heavy HD video punch and all powered by AMD's 2010 line up of processors.
The Acer Aspire One 521 and 721 netbooks come in 10.1-inch and 11.6-inch screen sizes and feature rather lusciously portable slim and light profiles. At the same time they house up to 4GB of RAM, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics processor and the AMD V-Series V105 CPU, all of which enable these little devils to playback 1080p HD video and cope with mainstream PC gaming as well.
Despite all the output, the battery life remains good with our hands on revealing that the 521 would last out 6 hours of 1080p playback on a single charge. The low power 16:9 LED Acer CrystalBrite screen obviously helps out here, but it's impressive nonetheless.
Further removing the pair from the squalor of what's often on offer in this small stature category, there's a good size keyboard, an HDMI port, a webcam and multi-gesture touchpad as well.
