There are few things in this world that get us hotter under the collar than a bag-less vacuum cleaner - especially one called Mach Air -  which is the name of this effort from Vax, retailing at a bargain £123.50 at Pixmania.

Ideal for the smaller household, the vacuum has an adjustable handle allowing for easy stowing under the stairs. Fortunately, however, it still packs plenty of power and should be equally at home on hard and carpeted floors alike.

You'll also get a 6-metre cord and a 1.5-litre capacity chamber for storing the muck, which appears to be trying to strike a balance between practicality and its light-weight and compact ambitions.
