Tech deals: Sony DPF-X1000 photo frame £185

Digital cameras are everywhere these days and although they are very convenient, for some of us there is often an issue with transferring pictures from the camera and onto a format suitable for viewing, be that onto prints or a digital photo frame.

If you are tempted by the digital photo frame option then the Sony DPF-X1000 is available from Pixmania.com for just £185, which appears to be pretty much the cheapest price anywhere at the moment.

The frame itself sports a 10-inch "super clear LCD" and something the company calls "TruBlack" technology which helps to minimise reflection. There's plenty of connectivity in the form of CompactFlash, SD card, SDHC, MMC, xD-Picture Card and of course Sony's own Memory Stick formats: Pro STD and DUO.

2GB of memory will see you equipped to store plenty of photos (around 4000) and functions include such delights as clock, alarm clock and calendar, advanced search, a large choice of slideshow modes, automatic landscape or portrait positioning and direct-access buttons and remote control.
